People find excuses to stay on their jobs because they are afraid to do something different, they are commit to their jobs but one they their boss said I am sorry we are eliminating personal and you are lay off. At the moment nothing make sense, you think the world came to an end. But everything in life happen for a reason.

Gather facts and accomplishments about your career to date, dates of employments, special skills that make you unique, education include any courses you have taken since high school, include any training your company has provided or you have paid for. Get it all on paper you will need it for you resume, cover letter and interviews.

6. Get organized, Cell phone, e-mail address and the message in the answering machine should be professional. A home office is ideal for job hunting. Begin gathering who you will use for references. Find people you can trust, name addresses, phone numbers and e-mail address, let your references know that some one might be calling them.
